Why Do Your Gutters Keep Overflowing?

Every time it rains, your gutters overflow, water runs down the walls, and another damp patch seems to appear. Cleaning the gutters might solve the problem for a while, but before long the same issue comes back. After a while, you keep wondering if the problem will ever stop.

The problem isn’t always as simple as a blocked gutter. Years of rain and wind can make gutter joints leak. Gutters can dip or pull away from the house, and fascia boards can rot or become loose.

When that happens, rainwater can no longer drain away properly. Instead it runs down your walls and soaks into places it shouldn’t. Before long, peeling paint, stained brickwork, damp patches, and even rotten timber around the roof start to appear. A small problem can soon turn into a much bigger repair.
